Life is Swell!
I keep forgetting how good my frikkin' life is, so writing this down as a reminder to myself.
Having been up visiting family over the holidays, I felt a little blue going home. My parents have entered their 70s now (well, dad will be there this October, mom has already gotten there), so it feels extra important to see them as much as a I can. They're not ill or anything like that - recent deaths in the family have just made me super aware of their age. But I should be happy because they're both up and active. Still, I missed them and a my sister a bit (and the cat!!!) and felt like I might get a little lonely now that I've gone back home and back to work.
Oh boy, does life like to prove me wrong XD
Thus far I've been to one 30th birthday bash, gone to one theater performance, and had fika (I haven't yet found a good English translation for that Swedish version of "having a coffee") for several hours, all with different friends. This week I'm making two D&D characters with two different people for one of my game groups, streaming PS4 video game playing for my sister, planning the next book for a book club, trying to schedule two D&D groups for the end of January, having a party with my LARP-group, not to mention chatting on Skype with a friend this evening.
Also, my job and colleagues are still awesome. So yeah, super not lonely here down south :D
Still miss the cat though. He's not gotten the hang of Skype yet.
