Nonesensed's writing corner

I don't want to accidentally spoil anything since some of my players follow me here, but I had so much fun running tonight's session 💖💖💖💖 I got to drop hints for both the main quest and a side-quest that's part of a player character's backstory. And I got to be creepy while doing it 😁

We've been playing this campaign (with some breaks) since 2018 and now that they're level 15 Everything Is Happening Oh So Much 😆 As much as I enjoy the early days of a campaign, it's so great to see everyone's reactions to the plot-threads starting to come together + all the backstory reveals we've finally been able to get to. We've freed a brother from prison and found out close friends might have bitten off more than they can chew re: fighting devils. Delightful!

I'm so glad I have this regular group to play with, as well as my other group. TTRPGs are such a joy when playing with a good group 💙💙💙

(Still slowly catching up on everyone's posts here from all the way back in May - sorry for the impending or already experienced comment spam 😅)

Other than working full time, this has been my schedule this week:

Monday - Videochat with a friend, followed by long phone call with another friend.
Tuesday - DM:ed one of my long-running D&D campaigns.
Wednesday - Dinner meeting with my LARP group.
Thursday - Afterwork dinner with my workplace.
Friday - DM:ed a Candela Obscura assignment.
Saturday - LARP all day!
Sunday - Worked on rereading Fullmetal Alchemist, editing A Werewolf in October aaaand DM:ed another of my long-running D&D campaigns.

Quite the week! Had a lot of fun, but with work on top of this I'm very much ready for vacation a-sap 😆

Had a great video meeting with my LARP group tonight, have a video chat planned with a friend tomorrow, will be DMing one of my D&D campaigns on Saturday and on Sunday I'm going over to two friends to see Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves since they haven't seen it yet (I'm supplying the movie, they have the snacks~) AND I've managed to catch up with work and my writing~

I wish an equally good end of the week to all 💗

Due to Very Good News - that aren't mine to share with the whole Internet, but let's just say someone's been in a lot danger and now isn't and I am beyond relieved and grateful - I will soon get to DM one of my oldest still running D&D campaigns again! :D

Aaaaand a certain now-NPC-previously-player-character will get to die gloriously because this character's former player turned out to be beyond awful as a person! (I'm not exaggerating, I will literally be testifying in court against this person soon, so retconning his former character to be a villain will be cathartic for the whole group).

In other news, I've got an inflammation in my right shoulder that's making writing damn hard, so all my stories (fanfic and not-fic) and editing is very slowed down. This sucks. But I've got a new Candela Obscura episode to enjoy and my parents are coming for a visit tomorrow, so I'm not too down in the dumps :)

DM:ed my first in-person session in literal years today <3

I am so spoiled with lovely game groups with super kind and invested players~! Today I got a lot of compliments for both my plotting, worldbuilding and acting (they say my NPCs are super easy to tell apart and engaging too <3<3<3<3)

My other group is also super excited about their next game (online, next Friday) and they're making so much epic art!!! We've got a cover image for the whole campaign, character references sheets, players drawing both NPCs and each other's characters.

Basically everything is full of love and I'm DOING MY BEST TO NOT GIVE ANY OF MY PLAYERS SPOILERS BEFORE THEY FIGURE OUT ALL THE SECRETS AAAAAAH!!! XD
