I'll start by saying that this long letter very much is optional. I only intend to inspire - long Yuletide letters help me out in my writing, so I want to provide that for others, should it be helpful. If you want even more info, I have a very long list of favorite tropes and kinks over here. Most of it's about general tropes I enjoy. Near the end you'll also find things related to NSFW topics. Several of my coworkers are still on sick leave, so I'm currently a little extra overworked 😅 And I'm a little extra grumpy 'cause my sister was going to visit this weekend, but due to the ongoing storms her train has been canceled and a replacement route doesn't seem likely 😞

I'm keeping moral up by borrowing an inadvisable amount of books from the library at once 😆 Other than reading books I own, like the D&D book Bigby Presents Glory of the Giants, Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men, Jeff VanderMeer's Absolution and a Swedish book on cognitive behavioral therapy, I'm currently reading:

I've also figured out one of my nominations for yuletide_admin - 'cause I need some fix-it fic (and/or worldbuilding) for Marcus Kliewer's We Used to Live Here.

Maaaaan, but this year has rushed by in a whirlwind!!! I am so behind on so many things, but here’s a little wrap up post ✨ Hope everyone is having a good end of the year, whether you celebrate any particular holidays or not 💖

First things first, the fics for the Yuletide Fic Exchange have been revealed 🤩 I got super lucky this year and got two wonderful Yuletide fics!!!

For the game Fear & Hunger I got this brilliant worldbuilding-by-historical-document fic:
Ales Bestia, or, the Winged Beast, A Broadside, written for the education and enlightenment of members of the Royal Knights of the Tomb of the Rondonian Empire. Written est. 1862, archived 1927.

For the book series Rook & Rose by M. A. Carrick, I got this wonderful post-canon look at what my favorite character Vargo might be up to:
disturbed circles, "The first thing to know is your tools," Vargo said. "Tell me what they are and why they're important."

They’re both exactly the kind of fics I wanted in those fandoms 💖💖💖
