Work is...work, right now. The only thing getting me through the days is listening to super loud power metal at all times I'm not talking to other people. That and being a very irresponsible adult when it comes to making food (cooking is one of The hardest everyday tasks for me - my brain runs away every time I have to be in a kitchen) :/
Thankfully next week is much shorter work-wise. Hoping to get back on my feet by then. I haven't written anything in ages and it's only contributing to my Mood. I'm hoping editing A Werewolf in October during CampNaNoWriMo in April will get me out of my writer's block but I'm not holding my breath *grumble grumble*
On a lighter note, I read a really interesting scifi!AU fic the other day for a mix of fandoms (mostly The Magnificent Seven (2016) but characters are borrow in from at least a dozen other canons). It's called A Night Out on Paradise Alley, written by Fontainebleau. One of said canon-inspirations for the fic is the short story The Girl-Thing Who Went Out for Sushi by Pat Cadigan that can be read for free here (Audio version also available!).
Recommended reading if you, like me, enjoy being dropped in the middle of a story's worldbuilding to take on the challenge of figuring out what all the terms and phrases specific to the setting mean :)
