I can't even begin to state how happy and relieved I am!
I might miss out on celebrating Midsummer tomorrow, but a light fever or whatever may await me in the future is totally worth it <3

Midsummer's eve is a Big Thing here in Sweden, so I had a lot of help remembering it XD Is it a big celebration where you live too? I'm very un-updated on where Midsummer is celebrated outside of Sweden and when (Norwegian friends told me they celebrate one day earlier than us Swedes, so I assume there's a lot of variations).

When I lived in Japan, the solstices and equinoxes were celebrated there.
And I originally replied to the wrong comment.

I didn't know that about Japan! What kind of celebrations are they?
No worries, I've done that loads of times too!

To be honest, I didn't take advantage of joining in the celebrations. I just treated it like another day off work.

Ah well, that's always the downside of having to be a responsible adult with a job. Were you teaching or did you have another kind job? (I'm guessing teaching because that's what 100% of my other friends who've lived in Japan have done XD)

I sadly don't know much about cultures outside the USA. I would love to learn more.
