Life sure is being Life

Oooookay. Don't want to go in to details, because it's really not my story to tell, but I've just had the craziest week of my life, and not in a fun way.

I had a lot of free time coming up; a lot of time for buying gifts, writing, D&D, and so on. Aaaaand then One Awful Person did A Lot Of Awful Things, and I had to help a friend out instead. NOT complaining about that, that's what friends do, I'm just fucking enraged by what they've had to go through!!

Still, a lot of good things have happened and it's been proven to me beyond the shadow of a doubt that I have a huge network of great friends to rely on when things go straight to hell <3<3<3 Not that I doubted them to begin with, but it's nonetheless eye-opening to have that trust proven to be well-placed when things go Utterly Fucked-Up.

Things aren't back to normal just yet, but they have turned out as well as they can under the circumstances. Basically, I have the best friends and I'm looking forward to getting to use my remaining vacation to write, plot D&D, play video games, possibly play some D&D, watch neat movies (just saw Encanto with the family, it was super cute!) and hang out with my sister, parents & cat.

Thank ye kindly! It was one of those "once in a lifetime" surreal awful things that made it feel like I was living a thriller movie for about four days - but it's all working out as well as possible, it's been made clear that I have awesome friends and I'm having a great time visiting my family <3

Btw, thanks for writing so much about the game Hades here on DW! I got it for myself and my sister this Yule, and we're having a blast :D We're taking turns going on escape runs and have fallen in love with both the characters, the plot/mystery and the game system <3 It's been a long time since I've played a roguelike without cursing out the screen after five minutes XD

We are both quite addicted to the game at this point, aiming for 100% completion simply because we're having so much fun both escaping and interacting with the characters 😄 It's definitely impressive how they've managed to get the gameplay and story to work so seamlessly together! It's clear they put a lot of thought into the gameplay, story, characters and sub-plots, because we've hardly seen any repeat dialogue at all yet + all the different prophecies are a great spur to try all possible weapons, boons, etc.

And thanks for the luck, we'll need it 😆 We've made it to Elysium a few times and faced off against Theseus and Asterius once, but it'll be a long while until we make it past that - we're not that great at keeping out of the lava in Asphodel yet 😅
