My fanfic WIPs, let me show you them!

Like most fanfic writers, I have a million works in progress haunting my computer. Currently these are the ones that most inspire me to write. So, my fanfic writing goal of 2024 is to make some progress on all of them and to post at least two on AO3 😊

I love to talk about my WIPs, so if any one of them piques your interest, leave a comment and I'll rant about it 😁

FANFICS

Avatar: The Last Airbender
Fic: (Placeholder:) Azula Xanathos Gambit Time
Summary: An AU where Azula & Zuko's mother managed to escape and for a while raise her children away from court. This leads to a domino effect regarding who Azula grows up to be. Also, this has Sedoretu relationships in it, because why not? Basically, token-evil-team-mate!Azula works years and years to dethrone her father and is deeply frustrated that the Avatar is a little kid not up for just dealing with the situation through practical murder, but you work with what you get.
Ships/Pairings: Zuko/Sokka/Mai/Suki (yes, that's the Sedoretu) & Azula/Ty Lee (though in an aromantic, open-relationship way)

Fic: (Placeholder:) Life with Sorrow
Summary: An AU where Sorrow (formerly Swift) survives, as do all of Moon's "siblings", and we get to see how that could have changes things.

Fic: The Oldest City
Summary: AU in the sense that it's set in one of the many parallel realities that I imagine makes up the multiverse canon has hinted at. We're in a second world urban-ish fantasy setting and the cast is all here! This time they're a team charged with protecting a city, led by <Mayor/Queen/Director> Jesse. Still working out the details of the story itself, but it's looking to be a long one. Ships are: Saga/David + Saga/Kiran (ethical non-monogamy for the win!), Alice/Alan/Casey (starts out as Alice/Alan, becomes Alice/Alan/Casey throughout the story), Jesse/Emily/Polaris, and possibly Trench/Darling, but I'm still working out how I want to handle that. Tim-formerly-known-as-Jack will likely have a will-they-won't-they thing going on with a certain childhood friend named Paul... Smut. I can promise you smut.

Summary: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine AU where Bashir's status as an augmented human gets out while he's still on Earth, leading to a situation where he and four (to the audience familiar) other augmented humans are on the run for their lives from assassins. I started Leverage this year, what are your ideas on Leverage?

And oooh, I hope you have fun with Leverage! How far have you gotten into the series?

My Leverage fic ideas are currently very vague but one is a short Pacific Rim AU with Eliot, Hardison and Parker as drift compatible pilots, and one that's a crossover with The Magnificent Seven (2016) set in the Leverage canon. I'm a hopeless Hardison/Parker/Eliot shipper, so that OT3 will be center stage all the way, but the plots of the fics are still a little vague 😅

I'm thinking the fic is about the three of them discovering they're drift compatible and trying to work in pairs, but that not working out - until they realize they have to be all three working together to achieve drift 😊
