Got to feel the tattered remains of my burnout the other day *sigh* Other than the spinal injury, messed up teeth and rapid weight gain, I mean.
It was the last day of work before an extended weekend of time off due to Sweden still being very influenced by Christianity, so Easter is a no-work-time. Stuff at work...ended up rather messy. Nothing terrible, it's just that it all happened at once: the copy machine broke down, the reading and writing evaluation that I had that day half-rescheduled, and, the main stressor, a misunderstanding left me for several hours thinking I'd have to up my work speed by several more cases per week.
Now, my mind was fine (if a little exasperated) with this, but my body apparently decided to have flashbacks. I won't describe in details what happened. I'll just summarize it as "food poisoning meets extreme adrenaline rush". Fuuuuu...
Be better than me, young ones. Don't work yourself into burnout, if you can avoid it. It really, really sucks.
At least I have time with my parents' glorious cat now. He is the best therapy <3
