Hello good people of the Internet!

This blog is mostly for fandom-related posts, me talking about my life and life in general, and for the occasional to-do list. I only lock very personal posts, so you're not missing out on any fandom things if you don't have access to those. I participate in fandom by writing fanfiction, roleplaying, cosplaying and discussing meta. I love other forms of fandom (fanart, AMVs, etc), I've just never had the inclination to make such things myself.

PS. Transformative Works Policy: I'll be utterly delighted for any and all transformative works of my fics or plot ideas (art, fic, gifs, manips, podfic, translations, etc). Please send me links to your work so I can cheer for you! The only thing I'm not okay with is my writing being scraped by or added to any sort of AI text generator or "AI writing aid". We're a few souls still keeping the lights on 😅 The fandom took a big hit when the official forum got shut down, but there's a fan forum puttering about. Canon is also still going, but it jumped the shark for me long ago. I'm mainly active as a roleplayer in this fandom, in AU versions of the canon setting with none of the canon characters, but I've also got a few WIPs up on AO3 I might get the urge to finish one of these days.

Glad I could cause you a little nostalgia 😆 When did you last dabble in ElfQuest?

i was never in the fandom because at the time i didn't know there was a fandom but i discovered elfquest in the mid-late 80s and followed it until about the early-mid 90s. i saw wendy pini at a comicon in 1999 or 2000 (maybe 2001?) and got unrestrained fangirl all over her (and kind of got the impression she was done with me after about 30 seconds) but by that time i'd totally stopped reading it so my fangirling was pure nostalgia.

Sounds like you partook of canon while it was still in top form! I can't with a good conscience recommend the current run of it 😅 but the fandom is still fun 😊 Neat that you've met Wendy Pini! 💗

Leverage! Oh yay! I'm going through a Leverage resurgence - well, I say that like there's ever been time that I *haven't* loved the show. But interest is cresting high again. :)

Huzzah for Leverage! It's one of those fandoms I'm sort of "always in" but have rarely written fic for since canon itself gives me (almost) all I want already 😆 I'm still not caught up on Leverage: Redemption, but I've rewatched the original show several times. I'm also a hopeless Parker/Hardison/Eliot shipper 😁

What about you? Got any favorite characters or ships for this fandom? What's your favorite part about canon? 💗

I wanted to come look through your dw as well! And I can't tell you how excited I was to see ElfQuest! My wife introduced me to it a few years ago and her love for it shined through, and I loved it too. The art style was so unique and beautiful and it was such a fun read.

That you also liked Gravity Falls and like all of Taliesin's characters made me smile all over again. <3 You have excellent taste!!!

I'm afraid I genuinely don't remember where I left off on ElfQuest. A quick look shows there are so many more than I remember! Guess that's a sign/excuse to go reread them. =] I just appreciate you and your dw reminding me it existed and how much I loved it.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is a super fun book, though I actually didn't get into it on the first read-through, since I'm a very character-focused reader and the book is slightly more plot-focused (in my opinion). I got into it by rereading it after having watched the TV adaptation and then I loved it 🤩 Hope you have a fun time reading it whenever you have the time 💖

it's hard to pick a favorite because i love everyone in the crew buuuuuut.....if i have to, mine is also eliot :) he won me over in the first season in the wedding episode when he told nate he was too busy for the heist because he had to cook gourmet food for 200 people. just love that the team bruiser is a sensitive, cultured dude who likes to cook and hates guns. (also! the one on the squad with the best hair XD)

Eliot is so much fun 💖 I'm such a sucker for characters with brutal pasts who've decided to improve but feel they've done too many awful things to ever fully redeem themselves. I'm also a sucker for loyal characters and characters who go against stereotypes, so Eliot basically checks all my Fave Character boxes (and yes, his locks are very luscious 😁). Do you have any favorite ships/episodes/moments/fics re: Leverage?

Hi hi! I’m browsing through folks’ interests, and thought your journal sounded cool so I’m going to read and comment a bit. I recently read an article on mood and what times of day you browse social media with emotionally volatile news, so I’m trying to make DW part of my morning routine, instead of reading the news.
