nonesensedOkay, so, having seen that Snowflake Challenge #8 is "Talk about a current fannish project" and #9 is "Rec your newest thing", I realize I'll have plenty of space to rant about Alan Wake II and all other Remedyverse games for this challenge. Thus, I'm now picking one thing about these games that I really enjoy, for Snowflake Challenge #6.
I have many, maaaany favorite parts of my current Most Fandom Of Them All (still love my others fandoms, this is just eating my brain most at the moment). However, the majority of my favorite things aren't really fun for people unfamiliar with canon, since what makes them good is due to about 4 video games worth of lore. BUT! There is one part of Alan Wake II that I know for a fact people with no canon knowledge can enjoy:
The Koskela Brothers' Commercials 😁😃😆
These are short and wonderfully terrible in-game commercials you can find while wandering around the world of the game. The Koskela brothers will try to sell you their magnificent local adventure tours, Ahma beer, make you go to the local amusement park Coffee World or buy their joint coffee brand shared with Oh Deer Diner, aaand since Deerfest is coming up, they're of course making parade floats too!

...yeah 😅 No spoilers, but let's just say these two are endearing both in these commercials and during their in-game appearances, and the game knows and will Twist All The Knives 😣 (though I'm a horror fan, so I love it 😈)
