In other news, I'm doing my best to comment on everyone's interesting entries and replying to comments. You're all great and I love talking to you, I'm just a "slow" writer (aka I really enjoy how Dreamwidth allows for people to take their time replying to things - more recent social media are modeled to be so "only comment on things posted Today!!!").

Thanks a bunch, I absolutely did! 💜💜💜 Dinner was a super tasty vegetarian stew - extra delicious since it warmed us up after 4 hours of working with cold water in a room without heating 😆💖

And I agree with being able to take our time with replying to comments! This is one of the big reasons I've been hanging around Dreamdwith and also didn't let go of Tumblr. Sometimes we need fandoms spaces to happen at a slower pace.

Yeah, I'm not saying Discord and such places are bad, but I am a woman in my 30s with a full time job and far too many hobbies - I wouldn't be able to keep up if all fandom spaces turned into chat rooms and algorithm steered dashboards 😅

Yuuuup 😆 We were working in one of my friends' only sliiiightly headed buildings on his farm (about +5 C indoors) and the night before it got down to minus 25 C degrees, so all the pipes froze. We got the pipes thawed out enough to have water to work with, but let me tell you, de-labeling the glass bottles we were reusing for this year's batch was a COLD affair 😆

I use Discord for my D&D groups and to chat with people. Big chat rooms are just not something I can keep up with 😅 I'm too much of a completionist and need to read EVERYTHING people have said before I join a conversation, and that's Just Not Happening in Discord groups.

Yeah, being any kind of completionist does not play well with large Discord servers 😅 So glad I've got DW and other, less overwhelming places to chat with cool people 💖

Ironically, I'm generally a very loud person, but with the speed Discord and similar sites move at I can't keep up with reading everything and commenting on everything, 'cause I'm a busybody like that 😆
