In other news, I'm doing my best to comment on everyone's interesting entries and replying to comments. You're all great and I love talking to you, I'm just a "slow" writer (aka I really enjoy how Dreamwidth allows for people to take their time replying to things - more recent social media are modeled to be so "only comment on things posted Today!!!").

I'm the same way with big servers on Discord. I miss too many messages and prefer to just DM a few people. And algorithm steered feeds are a curse!!

Yuuuup 😆 We were working in one of my friends' only sliiiightly headed buildings on his farm (about +5 C indoors) and the night before it got down to minus 25 C degrees, so all the pipes froze. We got the pipes thawed out enough to have water to work with, but let me tell you, de-labeling the glass bottles we were reusing for this year's batch was a COLD affair 😆

I use Discord for my D&D groups and to chat with people. Big chat rooms are just not something I can keep up with 😅 I'm too much of a completionist and need to read EVERYTHING people have said before I join a conversation, and that's Just Not Happening in Discord groups.

Algorithms are a curse upon the land!

I used to be an outdoor swim teacher, so I offered myself up as tribute to the cold water 😆 Getting hot stew and a hot shower afterward was glorious ✨✨✨

Yeah, being any kind of completionist does not play well with large Discord servers 😅 So glad I've got DW and other, less overwhelming places to chat with cool people 💖

Ironically, I'm generally a very loud person, but with the speed Discord and similar sites move at I can't keep up with reading everything and commenting on everything, 'cause I'm a busybody like that 😆

ALSO ME LOL But I'm generally pretty quiet and outwardly calm in real life spaces unless I'm with close friends or some specific family members. Then the floodgates open \o/
