Don't mind if I do~!

I have many, maaaany fanfics in the works right now, but the one I'm hoping to get really started on this week is an AU I call "The Oldest City". Like most of my writing projects do, this fic grew from a small "huh, I'd like to write this scene"-idea to "this is a series now, with at least 4 pars and a prologue" 😅

To summarize, I'm writing a sort of canon compatible AU of 3-4 video games: Alan Wake & Alan Wake II, Control and Quantum Break. I'm mainly doing this because I want to have an excuse for a bunch of interesting characters to be on a team together, solving a problem, and also, to write a whole bunch of UST-slowburn relationships that culminate in emotionally charged sex scenes 😁 Or, in some cases, to write sex scenes that culminate in emotionally charged relationships 😆

I'm really enjoying the setting I've chosen for the story. "The Oldest House" is the main area in the game Control, an impossibly large building of brutalist architecture that shifts its rooms around all the time. As you've likely guessed, I've taken that concept and blowing it up further, making it a whole city. Because it fit with the plot I thought up aaaand mostly because I thought it'd be neat.

My goal is to finish the first part of this fic series this weekend - wish me luck!

I'm totally canon blind on all these games, but the idea of your fic sounds super cool. I love having so many characters together, and you've got my number when you say UST-slowburn relationships. There is nothing better x_x

The Oldest House sounds so cool. I love a good genius loci, especially one that sounds so intimidating. I looked up some images and I'm all about it!

Happy that my fic idea sounds interesting even if one is unfamiliar with the canon(s) 😊💖 And yessss, UST-slowburn is good goooood stuff~! I'm having a lot of fun planning the 'regular' pre-relationship-UST-eventually-leads-to-Relations ships as well as the spicy version aka we're-fucking-but-we've-not-gotten-together-(YET) 😁

I love getting to spread knowledge of things from this shared game-verse 😄 The Oldest House is one of my absolute favorite things about it!! I'm replaying Control right now and running (+ flying) around this wonderfully twisting brutalist living building is glorious 🖤🖤🖤
